Today’s prompt for Writer’s Digest Poetic Asides poem-a-day challenge is Two for Tuesday, either a love poem or an anti-love poem or both. I couldn’t imagine how I’d write one, and then it was there.

Love is a scourge on
a human heart melted by
the touch of a chameleon.

Look, I am not here to complain about gender balance of Nobel Prizes, I figured out what I needed to about that all a long time ago and 🙄 But. This got me. I've updated my health care team on my ulnar nerve treatment progress, and my arm and hand are telling me I'm done for the day with computer/iPhone typing. 😠😔 I think I'm going to have to get a new keyboard since my old one has no spare USB to connect to, besides which I was fed up with it.- (@shireenj.bsky.social) October 7, 2024
