Today’s prompt for Writer’s Digest Poetic Asides poem-a-day challenge is Friday. Since it was Good Friday, I had the inspiration right in front of me, and it was pretty yummy too.

“Friday”

Friday, day afore Saturday,
after Thursday
Routine broken by hot cross buns.

I’m making hot pads for xmas gifts. I would like to attach a cute poem, but very handicapped in that area. Would you like to help?

I’m not sure I can, that is, if I can dream up the right kinds of poems… Do you have a website showing your designs? I could take a look and see if I get inspired. 🙂

No, I dont have a web sight. The hot pads are just a quilt block pattern. Each one is different. Put on your thinking cap. Just something short and maybe funny. I appreciate your talent and your willingness to give it a whirl. Thanks Karen

I’m sorry. I’m just not going to be able to do it. I’m sure there are lots of public domain short verses out there that would work well with your hot pads. Or Proverbs in the Bible is always good for stuff like that. Good luck!
