I’ll probably work on the header again now that I’m starting to become more familiar with this theme and how it works, but I’m going to let it sit for awhile and see how I like it, what I want to change.
In the meantime, I had to fix those sidebars. And holy cow, are there a lot of options! Each type of page has its own sidebar: home page, single page, posts page, single post, etc. Plus there are a plethora of widgets one can put in the sidebar, never mind the main section of the home page. Today, I focussed on fixing up the home page sidebar and home page’s main section, clicking here, there, seeing what many of the options looked like. Then I worked a little bit on the other sidebars, but to do them all is going to take awhile!
I haven’t solicited feedback yet, as this is still a work in progress, but I’d be interested in anyone’s thoughts on what I’ve done so far. Don’t be shy; drop me a line!
While I’m futzing around with my new-look website for the new year, I’ve got a pile growing of things I want to write on plus reading I gotta finish. So I may take a break from the website design for a couple of days while I catch up on chores and my reading. Then again, the lure of playing with software may distract me for one more day.
