This was awesome!

I wasn’t sure I’d enjoy a science fiction novel written by two authors, starring an angel and a demon, but it came strongly recommended. I was hooked from the beginning. There were a few typos here and there, and by their rarity stuck out. Overall the writing was seamless, the dialogue effortless and so very irreverently English. The characters were fleshed out well, and the plot unravelled logically and in a hugely enjoyable way. They salted the story with pop culture references and were solid in their Biblical background. The tone was so swift and funny that the sharp zingers blew by and only afterwards did I realise what they were saying. I can see why, according to their Foreword, people read and reread and reread it. I haven’t read a print book in awhile, having become hooked on ebooks, but by the time I’d finished reading this book, it felt like it couldn’t be anything other than in material form.
