Like the other books in the series, this one was light and breezy. The characters are familiar, the story not deep, a good read when you want to switch your brain off. My only quibble with it was that the dialogue seemed to become stereotypical towards the end, as if it became difficult for the author to keep the voices of each character — except for the narrator Charlotte — clear in her head. Or maybe she had a Law & Order moment, you know, that point in the show when the characters start preaching instead of talking like real people and you roll your eyes and yell at the TV to get on with the story. That kind of thing. Luckily, it happened close to the end of the book.
